After over 2600 submissions from around the world, at last there is a winner of my
5 Star Award - and it happens to be a highly credentialled site from Queensland in Australia. Designed by Rebecca Bell, the site is an outstanding example of web page design.

Considered probably way out of range for the average designer because of its size (around 100 meg) it has taken three solid years to complete. It has been a Big Pond site of the week, had the first ANZAC DAY ceremony on line, and the first MELBOURNE CUP SWEEP.

It is featured on Internet Explorer 4.0 CD and in the MS Channel Guide under Entertainment. and is absolutely chock full of OZ Culture, Bird life, Outback areas, Chat Rooms, Galleries, BBS and more.

WOW Awards Welcome Women


	. An inspiring celebration of wonderful role models hosted by the Older Women's Network last year was so successful it could become an annual event. The Network hosted the inaugural Wonderful Older Women (WOW) Achievement Awards last last year as part of International year of Older Persons celebrations. Funded by the Office of Women's Policy the awards recognised women, who have been and are, Trail Blazers, Adventurers, Innovators, Battlers and involved in the Arts. Rebecca Bell was awarded The Innovator for her work on the Internet, Web Design and Computer Technology.
