I just love your page and learning about Australia. When I graduate from college in Spring of 1998 I am hoping to visit your country and I try to access all I can on the web to prepare me for this trip. I still cannot find a good picture of a wattle tree...I want to see the flowers up close :) If someone sees this and has one, maybe they would send to me! Thank you for such a lovely tour..!

Just checked out your site tonight. Lots of interesting features. Can you include a news item for the Sydney SENIORS CARD COMPUTER AND TECHNOLOGY SHOW ? Maybe some of your contacts will visit your stand! Thanks Chris.
Hiya love. Send me some links so that I can join your chats again. Be a while now, but I am back up. See ya soon mate.
I was interested in finding some exciting birding spots to visit on each of the weekends whilst i'm in Ozz on business. Unfortunately your pages and others in the Ozz web aren't designed quite that specific. If you could make some suggestions i would be grateful for these days i'm in the neighbourhood. Melbourne-4th/5th Oct Darwin 11-12th -Kakadu? Perth 17th-18th (leave for home)
If you can't help don't stop constructing, it would be useful to be able to browse a town and have a few birding sites to investigate. Cheers & pity about the last test vs the Boks (my home team).

Brilliant !! Excellent homepage, particularly pleased with the Aust. Flag section. I believe there is not enough respect amongst Aussies, or so it would often seem. I don't wish to see the flag changed either!
Very informative and entertaining. I've visited Australia four times usually staying with a friend in Rochedale, the last time in February this year. I spend a lot of time checking out Australian sites. I'm quite new to this and havent joined any chat rooms yet but maybe i'll give yours a go when i get round to it.

I am a recent connection to the internet and while browsing for WW1 info. I was delighted to find Trenches on the Web and in particular the AIF. I enjoyed your Anzac Day page and Anzac on the Beaches. I look forward to further contributions. I am also browsing your ozbird pages - they look pretty good too. Keep up the good work! Frank Purvis.

My husban and I loved your site. It is our dream to visit your beautiful country some day. Come and visit our page at htp//wwwFeathervalley.com Tell us why cockatoo's are so beautiful, but scream so loud. I would like to get a handle on this problem. It is one that is as serious as feather chewing. I feel so bad for some of these little sweet hearts.

I've seldom enjoyed a site more. I sure laughed at the cockatoo, because the bird was like me, just dying for an Aussie voice. It is now 11 years since I left that country, and vow, I just ache at times to be there, even on the hottest, most humid day in old Sydney! There alway a chance of a Southerly! Great pages! Thanks Rebecca! I remember sitting in Copenhagen zoo once and suddenly hearing a most unbelievable sound, a kookaburra laughing (or maybe he was crying?) One of the wonderful moments in life! You would not know where I could get a gif. of a kookaburra?
Simply stunning, any thing further is superfluous. Do you know of any good avian disease sites? Ausvet (http://www.iol.ie/~pjmathew)
Cool sight man.....
Hy fine, fine, it's difficult to understand it completely, but I will return

Great site and good to see so much interest in bird related subjects. My wife, Carol and myself have been birders for over 35 years. With my background in laboratory optics, I started a mail order optics business for 'birders'. At som stage, maybe I could link my site with yours?
Meanwhile, if anyone has any questions about how to choose binoculars & 'scopes for birding, I have some free notes available from the e-mail address.
Best wishes, Gordon
Wow, as I delved deeper and deeper I am surprised at every turn. Great pages Rebecca. Keep up the good work mate. http://www.omen.com.au/~fireice/gdaymate.html

Keep up the good work.
An interesting and informative site, I wish I had the time to start mine off! I am a birdwatcher of over 35 years and have a laboratory optics background. This is why I started the mail-order business Ninox Binoculars & Telescopes a few years ago.
I now offer free advice and supply optics to birders and other Nature-watchers all over Australia.
If anyone needs any help on how to choose binoculars or a telescope, please let me know.
When I have up-dated my basic WWW page (WWW.ninox.co.au), would it be possible to link it with yours?
a good sight
It's so wonderful to communicate with people in Australia! I raise gouldians in Southern California and try to duplicate your climate here in the States. You guys have the most wonderful birds!
I was disgusted to read that Australians would consider burning an Australian flag - no matter how dilapidated it looks. This flag should be held dear to all our hearts. Great page and information
>From the "Sunshine State of Florida" USA! Your site was sent to me by a wonderful English teacher in Sydney -- who, by way of the Internet is helping me find out more about Australia. What a magnificent job you are doing with this site......and a hearty THANK YOU!

Hi Oz, I came across your site and had so much fun reading all of it. I really enjoyed it. I am from the north east coast of the United States. I have always wanted to visit Australia so this was such a treat for me. I have a friend staying in Perth for a few months. She loves it. Well, thanks again for a tour. Oh I loved the "men at work" music. Colin Hay was always my all time favorite. Take Care. Sharzing

Hi: Your search engine dosn't work - so please fix it...
Does now :)
There is a bird that I know as a bell bird. Are you able to supply information about the bird and perhaps a graphic.
Crested Bellbird (oreica gutteralis)On aboriginal name for crested bellbird was 'panpanpalala' in imitation of its song of 2 slow and 3 quicker notes. Call- gutteral chuck or chuck-a-chuck-chuck uttered when feeding on the ground. Characeristical song with ventriloguial quality that carries over long distance. Throughout Australia breeds Sept-Mar. Lives in Mulga, mallee and eucalypt. Ornaments nest with hairy caterpillers. Squeezes them round the middle making them semi-mobile then attaches to rim of nest. Will post a graphic in WINGSPAN BBS in a day or so. Will leave url in http://ozbird.com/askthevet/ OZ_BIRD

I enjoyed the most in Coolangata where I stayed for several days on the water.

Thanks for a MAGNIFICANT website and a nostalgic trip down memory lane. During the 80's and early 90's I had a massive private parrot and finch collection - most from Australia. I had parrots in every room of our three bedroom house except the bathroom! When it became undeniably clear that my marriage goals and that of my ex-husband were totally opposite, I got on with my life and went to great lengths to find good homes for all my feathered "kids". I still miss all of them - but your website has been a wonderful memory-invoking experience. I will visit often.

Do you sell larger Aust. flags suitable for flying from flag poles. About 160 cms x 90 cms? If not, could you please tell me where to buy them from in the Brisbane area?? Love your site - just what we fair dinkum Aussies need!!
I enjoyed your site, especially the recording of the Golden Whistler. I will be visiting my cousins in Melbourne in December. I wanted to bring them something that you don't have down under. I was wondering if you had any cardinals? I saw a decorative plate with cardinals and thought that they might enjoy it. Can you please help me out? Thanks.
Would like to see information about common diseases. Am looking for clues as to what is wrong with a 28 parrot with a bung eye and cropped feathers around the head, especially under the bung eye.

it is a great website. it tells us lots about Australia and ANZAC Day. it helped us understand the meaning of ANZAC day. our 2 names are Annie and Kate we are best friends. We go to Central school.
it is a great website its got lots of information about Anzac Day and how the Australisn people went to war to fight for aour country. It means alot to us because no one has ever done that for us before. We feel sorry for the people who died during world war 1 and world war 2. We also feel sorry the people who has lost family members from the war. We are happy but sad, We are happy that our country is saved and sad because people died.
