The Burnett Valley was first inhabited in 1842 with the arrival of the first settlers. From a quiet timber and rural area the population has greatly increased, and many exciting and progressive towns are now scattered throughout the area.  There are many outdoor attractions - and adventures including fossicking for gold, the beautiful Bunya Mountains, with its unique forests and native wildlife. Agriculture and beef, beans, pigs dairying, grain, peanuts, forestry and small crops and fruit all contribute to the  richness of the area.     Come visit for the holiday of a lifetime, camping out or staying at some of the first class accommodation in the area.
